I was born with cerebral palsy that impacted the use of my hands, but this disability didn’t stop me from following my passion and desire to create art. I paint with a headwand - a brush or pen attached to a helmet that allows the movement of my head to negotiate both shapes and pressure. I create mostly abstract paintings in acrylic to express my love for color combinations and textures.
During my creation, I have to face the constant challenges of asking for help of moving my canvases in the direction I want for the composition. I also have to deal with the limitation of the brush on the helmet on my head and getting the desired color paints out. Even with all these challenges, I enjoy creating and painting. It has to do with my passion to share my spirit and my love for life, however difficult. I’m blessed with this artistic ability.
